Another sunny day in the St. John’s region marks the 38th day before I turn 40. I woke up to a puddle on the floor left by Cornflake who had found, and tried to eat, curling ribbon from one of the children’s Easter presents. What lesson is there to be found in that mess? Start each day with a chuckle – and then look out!!
• Dressed in a skirt and heels before venturing out. Careful to choose a pencil skirt as the winds are very high here today and we don’t need THAT much to laugh about!
• Carried on with the two guys at the Confederation Building security. They’re still wondering (since I first met them last week) why I’m not married. I said, “Life is good sometimes!!” Ha! JK
• Met with the guy who became known as the Best Father in the World (for today). He won the Bawling for Bieber contest on Hits FM so his daughter can see Justin Bieber perfom at the Junos this week. (So glad my daughter isn’t here to read that or my rating of Beset Mom in the World might be at risk.) BTW I didn’t know of his celebrity status until the end of the meeting.
• Posted my tickets for the I Can Do It conference to my bulletin board. I received them in the mail today – my 40th birthday present to myself!
• Received a number of congratulatory emails from friends and colleagues about my BIG LEAP.
• Finished my presentation for tomorrow night’s information session.
• Devoured a delicious pizza with chicken, asparagus, goat cheese, peppers and mushrooms! Add wine and you’ve got FINE DINING ladies and gentlemen.
• Found the cords for my camera and videocamera so I could finally upload pics and videos for the past three months.
All these wonderful things made me laugh out loud, giggle, or smirk.
