Let’s hear it for Girl Power! That’s what I told myself as I shoveled my way out of the driveway this morning in the rain!!! When you’re facing Mother Nature’s sense of humour, the best defense is a good offense – and that is a healthier sense of humour! I may have missed the garbage truck – since I was getting myself dressed appropriately for shoveling, but I did manage to get it around the corner to the neighbor’s house and under their net before anyone could see! Take THAT Garbage Man! (Apparently, I haven’t gotten over the time that they refused to take my garbage because it wasn’t under a net AND left me a nasty note.)
So with a smile on my face I dug my way out and then felt that familiar sense of satisfaction from being a strong, capable woman. Today I encountered many such women. I salute them and celebrate.
Being a full self-expressed woman, it is important to show the world your true colors – the feminine, vulnerable side, the caring nurturing side, as well as the confidence independent side. Be all that you are. Feel it! Show the world!
