The only way to make room for the new is to clean house… literally and figuratively. Move out skeletons, goodbye hard feelings, aloha to a new perspective and a fresh start! The simplest acts can yield the greatest satisfaction and peace. I was tested today and, as I moved slowly through the day, I let go of a whole bunch of garbage that was cramping my style!
• Apologizing after a meltdown is a great way to start the day (over)!
• Forgiving myself is even better.
• Tramping through the rain, drizzle, fog to clean up a park is definitely where it’s at! It’s another wonderful way to spend time with your kids and demonstrate pride in your community.
• Putting new satin pillow cases and Egyptian sheets on the bed.
• Washing laundry – especially the stuff muddied from the park clean-up. What a mess!
• Booking a trip!
• Writing.
• Sharing the drama with a friend over dinner.
• Laughing along with Berni Stapleton’s one-woman show… so funny!
• Finishing the evening off with a nice glass of wine.
How cleansing!
