All my conversations today were about money – budgets, taxes, contracts, bills, income, credit, spending. As my nearly-40-year-old eyes are burning out of their sockets because of “too much spreadsheeting”, I realized how blessed I am to have a wonderful relationship with money.
• I am grateful to have a salary that covers my basic living expenses.
• I am grateful to have the opportunity to earn as much as I want by owning my own business.
• I am grateful when I get treated to free chai lattes, glasses of wine, dinner and movies.
• I am grateful whenever I find a discount because, after all, one of my favorite 4-letter words is SALE.
• I am grateful to have enough disposable income to travel to Toronto next month.
AND…
• I am grateful for the bills I pay because they remind me that I have a house over my head, clothes on my back, and a car to take me wherever I want to go.
• I am grateful for the taxes I pay because they remind me of how much income I earn.
And the most critical piece for this late-night blogger…
• I am grateful to have had the change in my purse to buy dark chocolate ice cream at 10:30 at night to reward myself.
