It was bit of a late night yesterday as I stayed up to watch the Junos and exchange a few funny messages with friends who were out enjoying the jubilation in downtown St. John’s. If I hadn’t needed to get up with the children to take them to school, I likely would have slept in. So, the calendar marks 31 days before I turn 40 and I’m UP and at ‘em.
By lunch, I was seriously UP to my ears in things to do as I managed a couple of projects for which I am responsible and prepared for my new public workshop that starts tomorrow. I mused at how I really needed to be UP in order to deal with another day of grey skies… what happened to the sun we were loving just a week back?
It’s funny how the weather can really put a damper on our mood if we let it. And while I am not infallible, my effort to live in possibility is a much stronger force than it has ever been. In order to be UP and accomplish my goals and embrace my potential and help others define and execute their vision of success I NEED to be on top of my game and THAT is not weather-dependent. Thanks Goodness!
What’s really nice is that the sun did show it’s beautiful face when I picked up the children at the end of the day. For several glorious minutes (I don’t think it lasted an hour), I remembered the influence that a ray of light can have on our day. I choose to BE that ray of light. I choose to be UP. I choose it for me and all those in my circle of influence. What about you?
Go on! Get UP there!
